Ούτε λάθος, ούτε ηλίθιοι οι Flat Earthers

Τις τελευταίες μέρες έπεσε στη προσοχή μου ένα βίντεο από μια expert στην εκλαϊκευμένη επικοινωνία της επιστήμης, τη Sabine Hossenfelder. 

Ο τίτλος του βίντεο της είναι "Wrong but not stupid" και μιλά για τους flat earthers, ομολογουμένως εξετάζοντας κάπως ήπια το θέμα με το μίνιμουμ της ειρωνείας σε σχέση με άλλους τραγικούς τύπους όπως ο ScimanDan, ο οποίος έχει πια ως πλήρη απασχόληση να αμφισβητεί όσους θέλουν να σκέφτονται με παραμέτρους όλα τα μετρήσιμα και παρατηρήσιμα  φαινόμενα και να μη δέχονται την πληροφορία επεξεργασμένη και με όλα τα σύγχρονα μέσα (CGI, studio fakery, green screen magic) παρουσιασμένη.

Άφησα επίσης και το ακόλουθο σχόλιο από κάτω από το κλιπ της αλλά δεν άφησε κάποια απάντηση.

"You actually got most of the philosophy of Flat Earthers right. There is lack of trust in Space agencies and surely a lack of trust in our Goverments. But think about this for a moment. Back in 2016, there was no talk about heading back in Moon with manned missions at all. I was a huge follower of Nasa and space evolution and I am sure about that. Their goals was to eventually build suitable spacecrafts for a colony in Mars. But after that "flat earth crisis" rised and all that info that came public about having lost all Apollo telemetry data, Artemis program about manned operations in Moon was announced, funded and signed by D.Trump back in 2017. Imagine how huge impact and what a huge help was for mankind to accelarate Space Era in fear of this viral philosophy claiming that we never initially went to Moon and we are everyday fed up with more lies about the place we live and die in. Let's hope this time, astronauts set up a high quality webcam and a 24/7 comm-link so we, the people of Earth can have an everyday view of our plane at all times. After all the face of the moon is always looking at us. So it won't be much of a problem. 

The only problem is the actual mean of transport, as Don Petit mentionned the other day is that "I would go to the Moon in a nanosecond, but we don't have the technology to do that anymore. We used to but we destroyed it and it is a painful procedure to build that again."
